Here is something you don't see everyday. This model Ervin engine was used frequently by the previous owner to power something and they didn't care what it looked like. They never cleaned off the oil and grease that accumulated, used zerk grease fittings and an ugly automotive ignition system. I was going to clean it all up but decided to just leave it in its "barn fresh" condition. So you have a choice to leave it as is or restore.
I have had it running but couldn't keep it running. It sometimes has rather weak compression but the bearings and cylinder look in good shape, and is overall well machined. One of the base mount holes is broken off. It is a heavy (40lbs) cast iron model with heavy 7" flywheels. I prefer local pickup or can deliver to the Wisconsin Baraboo show. I can ship but it won't be cheap due to its weight and I will have to build a crate for it. Thanks for viewing
