Hi folks,

Thought I’d list this today to fund some future steam projects, as you know it’s an expensive hobby at times.

This 504 boiler works perfectly. I have videos of it in steam with no leaks and producing tons of steam with a basic gas burner.  I’ve since gutted this boiler out and used many of the parts on the No. 8 plant I recently built.

I don’t plan on using a 504 boiler on future builds, but perhaps smaller Stuart boilers, or other marine types.

This 504 was a rebuilt boiler by Ed Saley per Charlie’s words;  I’ve had this boiler for about a year, and I mentioned to him I would like to list it to fund more steam projects.

The firebox does seem to have asbestos (perhaps) or another material that looks similar.   So please proceed with caution and wear PPE if removing it.

I don’t see 504’s show up often and I don’t like selling through Evil Bay.

If you were to polish it up and put on original 504 Stuart mounts you’d have a fantastic Stuart 504.   

Both top boiler bushings are 5/16-27 and the front port holes are all 1/4-40 UST.

Boiler has been kept dry when not in use, by using air pressure venting out.
Throw a BIX burner in the fire box and you got 80psi pretty fast!
