Jensen 5 - Early 60´s Transistion Engine

Recently i purchased this one from Paul "27ace27".

It was very honestly listed with a failed continuity test on the heater, but fortunately it merely turned out to be the classic "fried" connection under there.
It is destined for a full cleaning, and a few adjustments/repairs, like lapping the cylinder, tightening the trunnion spring, resoldering the steamline to the chest, and some new gaskets everywhere.
Only thing i´ve done to it so far, aside from re-connecting the heater, is putting in teflon gaskets in the steamdome, and a slight polish to the boiler, as there was quite a bit of "gunk" on there, which i was eager to see if i could remove.

Nice buy Jan, I have it's brothers #40 and #25 of the same vintage. I think these copper-brick and dark blue engine bases are one of my favorite color combinations, next to the early robin's egg blue. Only thing I wish this model had is a heavy flywheel...

That is a nice example Jan, i must say i wish Jensen had stuck with the copper look for the fireboxes.

Jan, I don't know how I missed this...but saw it this morning.  What a good looker and great runner.  It's in caring and loving hands now and back in Denmark where it has some DNA!

Very happy to have it here  :)

Think i´ll move this one up the list, since it needs so little attention...and hopefully get a short movie made, to display it in a slightly better condition.
