There's nothing wrong with this Nick, unless you paid too much. I like it a lot, it has cutouts on the side to see
more movement of the con rod. Grease cups or oil on top of the journals, and the old style cylinder head.
Is that J, on the head a decal or a stamping? As far as the corners being nicked up,
that's not the original base anyway is it?  No I like that a lot.
