Here's my first run of another little toy by Fritz Neumeyer. It's the only toy version (that I'm aware of) of the famous Westinghouse compound steam engine. While the original had two vertical cylinders and an overhead valve gear, the toy has a single oscillating cylinder hidden inside the engine housing; the overhead valve gear is just a dummy. Fortunately the only restoration required was a new gasket for the safety valve.

What a rarity this must be

Do you know of any others out there?
Is the entire boiler/firebox nickel plated? Such a nice looking piece
Nick,
I had an almost identical one some 20 years ago and a German member posted one on the "other" toy steam forum a while back. Yes, the entire boiler and firebox are nickel plated although some of the plating has worn/burnt off around the front of the firebox.
Very unusual. Thanks for showing it.
I rather like that Brent, very unusual & different from the Norm (you have a fine eye for the unusual ), thanks for showing it .
