The home-built has a very heavy boiler, and it will be looking for a new home after I have some fun playing with it... But I did find another engine buried in the bottom of the box

This will mainly be a careful cleaning and the only work that will ever be done in my hands is to fit some new wire for the missing railing, re-attatch the steam line and hopefully find the missing boiler fittings or have replacements made... I will have to be very careful with the baseplate as it is basically wallpaper. I'm very happy that the original governor survived shipping.

I will post better, more detailed pictures, but if you look closely by the flywheel on the bearing block, you will see that one of the oilers still has its original press fit oiler cap (can't be too many of those left in the wild...)

Interestingly, Danny has just picked up this same model, I believe one size smaller, so hopefully I can give him some helpful pictures/measurements

Great buy on the Cosmos Nick - I wish I had your skills as it would open up a whole new class of engines. And you might want to talk to a paper conservator in your area about the "wallpaper" - I know they have some neat tricks up their sleeves to deal with problems.
