Thanks for the video Carl!  8)

Dennis, I bought one assembled and one un-assembled years ago as well. They sat at my parent's house for a couple years till moving them to the shelf here where they have sat nearly 5 years. Every once in awhile I walk by them and give the assembled one a flick and watch it light up quick... should really belt it up to the next engine I run...

Works very well Carl, thanks for sharing !

Only downside to the lamppost version (at least on my old one here), is that the bulb isn´t screwed in there as on a Jensen 15, but soldered directly onto the wires, which makes it a bit more complicated to change it.
From own experience, i´d say that one would be well advised, to consider current rpm before engaging the generator  8)

I must be slow
I purchased via ebay years ago one of these generators with multiple pulleys no lamp,.
As of yet i have done nothing with it .

Cheers
Dennis

Dennis, you are in good company letting it sit for so long.
I got 2 with a pile of pulleys from a fellow in Missouri--- also about 5 years ago.
They remained mostly untouched until I belted one up to one of Jin's gas engines a few months back.

I had thought mine was screwed in... tried unscrewing it, which I was able to do, to an extent... then it became hard to turn and felt like wires binding/twisting up inside. Was it soldered onto the wires and then screwed in?

I bought two of those a few years ago and I’m very happy with them.

I forgot about the bulb being soldered to the wires. If I recall I think I modified mine to take a screw-in. I tend to crank them up and go through a lot of bulbs.
Best Regards
