I have reluctantly decided to stay away this year as well. As of today Pennsylvania has the 3rd highest covid positivity rate in the nation at 89%.

Had this box made to bring the big Marklin machine shop to Cabin Fever. Oh well...what's another year when you're having fun.

Scanned and cleaned up the logo from a catalog reprint then my daughter used it to cut a stencil with her "Circut" stencil machine. Then painted through the stencil onto the wood.

Cool.  Does she have a Cricut Machine?

Yes, she's been using one for a few years now which has come in handy for me.

Jared will you have the usual "for sale" area as in the past ?

Yes, there will be the usual Consignment Sales Area.  With the online auctions requiring a little less staff, we should have more staff to help the check in/ check out in this area as well!  Thanks!
Will we also need to pay/report any sales in the consignment area regarding the new IRS $600+ report ?

That logo came out really nice!! Has she done any vinyl stickers with it? (Thinking of all the steam stickers I could put on my van windows… 😂)

Yes Nick, she's done some vinyl stickers, but not for me--makes those just as easily but there are size limits to what the machine can do. Most sign shops these days cut vinyl stickers or signs from almost any good digital image.

I posted on December 20th that I will not go to Cabin Fever this year being concerned about COVID & my family safety. Worth mentioning that I had my two vaccine shots & was waiting to take the third booster shot.
Well, we plan as much as we can, but The Lord’s will was a little different. I started showing COVID symptoms on December 21st; luckily my wife was away with her mom, and I asked her to stay in our little shore cabin while I am fighting this virus. Home rapid test showed positive, and later PCR showed positive as well.
My wife insisted to return home wearing a N95 mask 24/7 to take care of me, and I am grateful to her.
I almost got hospitalized on Christmas day when my Saturated Oxygen level dropped to 92% with a heart beat at rest in bed @ 100. My MD told me if my Oxygen drops to 91% then I have to call 911 for paramedics.
I am writing this after I recovered and made it to Cabin Fever knowing that I have a lot of antibodies. I also made the decision to wear a mask during the show all the time.
I am 52 year old with no other medical conditions & almost died from COVID. I know that it’s a matter of freedom & choice; but to my surprise, there was less than 50 people in the entire show that had a mask on. The show did not mandate wearing a mask, but they put signs that it is recommended by the CDC to wear a mask. I can tell you that my heart is already aching for the hundreds of elderly who attended without a mask, and will suffer what I have been trough. I was thinking during the show that I may not see many of these kind people in the future shows if they got infected.
