Cabin Fever Road Trip
« on: January 11, 2020, 07:14:04 am »
I am leaving Texas later this morning and will be on the road for the next three weeks. I am so excited!

First leg is only 262 miles to Russellville, Arkansas to visit with some friends.

My goal it to make it to the Office of Steam in Connecticut on Tuesday, January 14th (1362 miles from Russellville).

On Wednesday, January 15th Danny (Nuvolari) and his wife will take a train from NYC to Connecticut for a visit to the Office of Steam.

On Thursday January 16th, we will caravan to Lebanon, PA to attend Cabin Fever from January 17-19th. I am looking forward to seeing all of our Forum Members who will be attending.

Starting January 19th, Danny, his wife and me will be on a tour of the USA with stops to see Benny (Alabama) and Brent (Kentucky), Nashville, the Bourbon Trail, Wheels Through Time Motorcycle Museum (Maggie Valley, NC)  and Graceland (Memphis).

Eventually, we will end up in Dallas for a few days and then a final trip to Austin, San Antonio (to see the Alamo) and then to Houston for their return flight to Belgium.

Updates to follow.....

What an amazing itinerary you have planned there Charlie!

Truly hope that your and the Nuvolari's sojourn is both safe and tons of fun!!

Certainly the Office of Steam must be an amazing place to form up in and head out from, as I'm sure Gil will host and guide to perfection!!!

I made it to Knoxville tonight. A little over 950 miles in the last two days.

I hope to make it to Hagerstown, MD tomorrow.

A spectacular drive today from Russelville, Arkansas to Knoxville, TN today. Today was the longest pull at a little over 600 miles. The weather cooperated today. 🤠

You will be missed Nick. Just waiting for the sun to come up to start the third leg of the drive.

My goal is to not drive at night. There was a great local restaurant next to the hotel. I had a nice steak and a couple cold local brews.

Had a look around when we arrived 5:15pm last evening, got registered, took a quick look around the consignment area. ..lots of hit-n-miss engines this year & many other nice stationary engines, should be a nice sale.
