Thanks for posting those videos Danny, especially while you are still on your vacation. I have taken a quick peak on my phone and I can't wait to sit down and watch them on the big screen  ;D

Danny, these are great videos! Thank you for posting them.

It was awesome meeting you and Myriam and having you both and Charlie visit our home and then hang out at Cabin Fever Expo.

Update on the trip.

We left Cabin Fever on Sunday, January 19th and made it to Fairmont, WV. We had dinner at Murial’s, the Italian Restaurant where my wife and I went 35 years ago for our first wedding anniversary.

On Monday morning, we drove to Lexington, KY and Parrallelmotion hosted us for a tour of his amazing collection. As a bonus, we ran a 6” bore Rider (alpha type stirling engine) made by the Rider Engine Co. ca. 1880.  The Rider-Ericsson Co. was a later successor company after 1895. It’s probably around 1 hp on a good day.

After saying our goodbyes, we drove on to Nashville where we toured the Country Music Hall of Fame, the Johnny Cash Museum, the Hermitage (Andrew Jackson’s home) and Antique Archeology (American Pickers Store). We finished off the night with a big dinner with two of my friends from Nashville.

Today, we are driving to Birmingham. We are visiting Benny this afternoon and then the Barber Motorsport Museum on Thursday.

On Friday morning, we will drive to Memphis to visit Graceland and take in some Memphis Blues with my daughter.

More to come....

… well our road trip went on Visiting Brent, we all met his very charming wife and had a look at his Wonderfull collection beyond words.

Then we pressed on to Nashville.
And you can't visit Nashville without seeing some of it's rich music life.
So we visited the Country Hall of fame and Johny Cash museum, and if you like that kind of music it's a must go, we loved it.

We also did the Nashville store of one of my favorite  tv programs "American Pickers"
The old Marathon factory alone is a Wonderfull side to see…

The store was smaller than I thought, and Frank and Mike where on the road again the woman behind the counter told me.
But at least this tells me we are going to enjoy more programs on tv…

After we left Nashville on our way out we stoped at the Hermitage, the house of 8th president Jackson.
A real adviser to do if you are in the neighborhood.

We just crossed the border from Nashville to Alabama on our way to visit Benny, where we just saw one of the steam engines from the 1960, an atlas B1 rocket, next to the motorway.

And an expert wrote a comment on the information table about the moon landing

Also Benny gave us a warm welcome, and showed us his collection, in the ultimate man cave, again as was Brent's, a super collection.

To be continued…

Cheers,
Danny

One thing odd about the American Pickers store, there wasn't much if anything of antiques for sale. It was just tourist stuff.

Great pictures Danny! As a side note, I live only a half an hour from Iowa and one day in the late '90's or so my great-grandparents had two guys stop by their farm and they explained what they were looking for and went through their house (which was beyond full). They told my grandma about the two guys and it wasn't until years later when the TV show came out, that my grandma realized it was likely Mike and Frank, from the description my great-grandma had given of the two guys.  :)

We had a wonderful visit with Benny yesterday. He has a “Man Barn” and an extraordinary well curated collection.
