Vertical 3x4 steam engine with Stephenson's linkage
« on: October 13, 2023, 10:30:51 am »
i'm looking for info on this vertical engine, possibly a Launch engine
it has no markings anywhere, 26" tall
the linkage, connecting rod, valve chest and cylinder covers,
and top of the main frame are chrome plated.
the connecting rod bearings are locked in with wedges.

What a wonderful engine you have there!

Sorry I cannot help with any I.D. but I will say that it appears well set up to be a nice launch engine.

made a nicer base for it and a pic showing the connecting rod.
the oil cup for the crank end is a side pocket up the rod

What a beauty Marv! Also can't i.d. it but it seems there are a lot of unmarked launch engines.
