Nice work Jim , you got it running real nicely, it has an authentic hit & coast cadence just like the BIG boys . great cinematography 😊👍

Nice job Jim !!  Very realistic h & m timing...What spring mods are you using & how did you drill thru the hardened cylinder sleeve to enable the functional piston oiler?.....tom.

G'day Tom, just been going through a collection of springs and trying different much softer ones.

The oiler I made, but is currently not operational as I haven't taken the sleeve out and drilled it.

I've heard that hard sleeve is a real carbide buster !! Last thing I need is a piece of broke off carbide stuck in my sleeve !!

That's why I've cooled my heels on tackling it, happy with the look of the faux oiler currently and don't think they really need a drip oiler.

I'm Still inclined to get a Functional oiler mounted there...My Added main bearing Cap & Con rod functional oilers work beautifully in keeping friction reducing lube flowing, Noticeably extending "miss" time revs & that missing oiler bugs me !! ..The piston O-ring Does respond to manually applied cylinder lube & I'm gonna somehow get a lubricant hole installed....tom.

Its only stainless, shouldn't really be an issue to drill.

No, not much at all. I play with all my toys in the winter and when it’s nice outside I play with my full size toys instead. I’d either get in trouble for stinking up the house running this in the basement or I’d gas myself out  :D

I ran one for about 8-10 minutes in my steam room (door open window closed) the other day, didn't notice any smell. Went outside of the room for a little while to do something and when I went back in the smell was really noticeable.

I believe Gil has run his for hours at a time indoors. When I went to NAMES they had a few periods of time where the gas engines had to shut down for awhile for the air to clear  :D  I told my wife not to wear her contacts into the show, but she did anyway because she hates wearing glasses and it really bothered her eyes.

Nice work, Jim...!!!

You've got it dialed in nicely.

And....... You are having plenty of fun with it!

Good stuff, my friend.
