Olds Gearless 1/2 Scale Model Hit & Miss Gas Engine
« on: June 30, 2025, 08:18:23 pm »
I agreed  to acquire this fine engine a few months ago and it was delivered to me at the Coolspring Show last week.

It had never been run so it was a bit of a project getting it set up and adjusted.
I have a little more to do to get it dialed in just right.

Here it is after a lot of fiddling, adjusting, massaging parts, etc.

Enjoy,

Gil

That is really just spectacular to view, and runs a treat too!

My only question is ... how does it run pulling a load?

Try again. It works fine.

If that fails search up my YouTube channel @reddrryder or by searching for reddrryder video. Then follow a link to my channel.

Thank you. It should run great pulling a load. You just speed it up and when a load is applied the pendulum governor will make it fire more often.

Scott, you might just get a chance to see it.

I will try to get it to R&T in August.
