1910s CARETTE cast iron workshop models & Overtype 691/1(P)
« on: April 15, 2022, 04:18:44 pm »
Last month I was able to enlarge my collection of cast iron CARETTE workshop models with a Kaltsage 616/2

This month three more arrived from an auction lot... Bohrmaschine 196/1, Holzschleifer 616/1 and Schleifbock 625/1

One other part of the deal was a CARETTE stationary locomobile 691/1(P) with strange looking cylinder and missing parts

After a closer look the cylinder turned out to be a homemade non-functional fake, turned from massive brass, simply drilled and soldered to the old incomplete valve unit

Thanks Mirko (Dampfzauberer), I was lucky to replace this fake against his spare cylinder unit

Now I only need to find a chimney, burner with door and pump...

If aynyone has some spare parts to offer please let me know!
