Good Sunday morning to ALL - Have a Curiosity to look at:
This is the real tachometer from the Steam ship Town off Zürich.
When the ship was modernized I could save the trip counter from scrapping.
It has been cut out from the sheet metal wall.
The friction wheel touched the crankshaft and indicated the number of revolutions. I use a small electric motor with a gearbox to drive it.
Enjoy, Arnold

You did well to save the tachometer. I think the idea of giving the part a function again by means of an electric motor and gearbox is very good.
Very interesting, nice save & well done !
A neat maritime memorabilia.
Bonjour Arnold,
Great idea to have saved this original and uncommon accessory. Besides this, do you know steam modelitsts names Gilbert or Gérald

?
