Wow! That was a deal! Wish I had known about it. Where was it at?

No I didnt get it (didn't know about it) but it would have definitely been mine had I known ,even at 2.5 x that sale price. The Merry go round has a lot of work in the board walk surrounding it also , very interesting.

Was in Vermont, so I would have had about 40 hours of driving ($400-500 in gas) and it had to be out by Wednesday, plus internet premium. Still would have saved about $1000-1500, but just came up for sale at the wrong time.  :-\

Hi There.
I am the very lucky owner of this model 50 and the Merry go round. The guy who won the auction only wanted the Ferris wheel. He had the steam engine and Merry go round at the Brimfield MA flea market the weekend after he bought it. I didn't have the money to buy it on site, so we texted the next day, and set a price and then I drove to RI to pick it up. The engine had a little rust, a little dirt, and a lot of dust. I cleaned it real good and it ran great. The Merry go round is a hand made work of art. The whole thing was an incredible find. Now I just have to find a place to put this thing. The boardwalk dia. is about 3 feet.

A wonderful find Ed.

Brimfield is a blast.

I hope to get back there some day.

I am sure we would all like to see some pictures of your J50 after you cleaned it up.
