Missed This One!

It was listed for $10.00 in a regional buy-and-sell paper, and I got to the seller first, but he didn't want to mail it....

I had one for awhile, was losing it's lacquer and I was NOT interested in re-polishing  :D  sold it on eBay and sent it to Australia. BUT for $10 I would definitely add one back to the collection  :o

Hm. The $10.00 roller was sold and has re-appeared elsewhere, now with a $425.00 price tag!

Guess this is free enterprise at its finest....

Three hour drive ain't that bad. Heck it's four hours (about 200 miles) from where I live to anything that you could call a city. Of course in a situation like that, the fuel costs must be added to the purchase price, just like shipping, so it could tip the balance against.

And not just fuel. I'd have to go through Toronto and right into the Niagara Peninsula. Way too crowded, way too busy. I grew up in that mess, and I have never returned.

Yep, that reasoning touched a chord alright. Beginning of last month I had to attend a family thing over in the S. Bay Area where I grew up, but hadn't visited in perhaps a dozen years, I can't drive over there anymore! It's frightening and totally unsafe ... those people are full on crazy!!!
