I've bought the nice looking treaded Mamod Traction Engine Tyres a few times and in a year or two they become hard brittle, crack and fall apart.

For just simple traction for running a Mamod Traction Engine I bought some bicycle inner tubes and the larger size is perfect for putting over the back wheels and the smaller size is perfect for the front wheels.
