My own birthday was already 25 days ago...
Two days ago to my wife's birthday I gifted me this extreme rare 103yo MÄRKLIN #4283 3-speed gears transmission... 😎
She got a new leather handbag and was also happy... 😅

After some cleaning and straightening the speed set screw, the overall condition is excellent for its age.

Finally also got a 1919 catalog picture of it

I don't believe I've ever seen such a complicated steam transmission , you  certainly know how to find the rare ones 😊👍

There is one from DOLL... If you want you can add 4 shafts and up to 12 wheels or gears...  :o

The last picture is a Weeden workshop with a Weeden Transmission.

The last picture is a Weeden workshop with a Weeden Transmission.

If you take a closer look, you will see that the WEEDEN Transmitter No.73 is different from the DOLL shown on the WEEDEN workshop...

The WEEDEN is larger, made from strong tin metal (the DOLL is made from cast iron) and is missing the upper & lower traverse bearing extensions.
