Update:
Well I thought with a Vertical Cylinder it would take right off, but no joy, it acted like hardly even try.
With a bit of tinkering I discovered that if I loosen the 2 screws that hold the cyl assembly on that the engine felt Much more free when rolled over by hand! So lit another Fire and sure enough, she took right off and even build a little speed.
Unfortunately as I watched the loose cyl it (should) have been shaking up-Down in a linear fashion (in screw clearance holes) but my cyl rotates in orbital fashion as when the top goes right the bottom goes left, so we have some side load bind issues!
I noticed the left cyl rod runs on a slant and the wrist pin is all the way to the left side of piston...thought for sure this was my problem but disconnect the left side and roll engine over and cyl still has orbital motion, think the wrist pin on that side was bent or closed up the slot for rod when they rivet in the wrist pin.
The wise man would have perhaps boxed this up and returned it, but I have all ready removed paint and the detective in me Wants to find ALL the problems with this engine and correct them All! I suppose I get satisfaction from taking a poorly executed unit and making it run good.
I may call PM Research tomorrow to see if they are aware of quality issues. [ Guests cannot view attachments ]
