This is the quietest Good Friday that I have ever known.
We just did a 'Corona Birthday' for our youngest son Tom. With the lockdown, we aren't a allowed to visit....even family.
Jenny and I got in our car and oldest son Jamie and Haylee and two children James and Ruby got into their car and we pulled into Tom & Jemma's driveway
and started to beep (blast) our horns. Out came a surprised Tom (Jemma knew in advance) and we popped streamers and poppers out the car windows and all sang Happy Birthday
obeying the social distancing laws
Left poor Tom to clean up all the streamers when we drove off
We have a Zoom (online video meeting) get together for the whole family planned for 4.00pm this afternoon and Tom will blow out candles on his cake that Jemma has made for him.
How much we take for granted, this pandemic is making me appreciate the small things in life that its easy to miss being so busy and focused on things that don't always matter all that much.
