Dolly 364/1 REPAIRS!
« on: August 01, 2024, 02:47:11 am »
Hey my steamers.   Worked on this periodically throughout the day.  My goodness are these old engines finicky.   Did much exhaust repair through failed & repeated soldering until just right.  Now it has no leaks within the exhaust.

I also completely disassembled the engine components entirely to find out why there were tight spots in the flywheel, come to find out a baring spacer that keeps the flywheel stable was binding up against the stanchions.

The thing runs smoother than butter. I can spin the flywheel with my hand and it will revolved for
About 5 seconds before stopping.   Until max pressure it now actually has power enough to run the water pump.

I am greatly pleased and this puppy will surely be one of my pride & joy engines.

Here is a photo of WIP along with the engine in full function.
