 Anyone ever convert a Jensen 70 from vertical to horizontal ?  I recently got a Jensen 70 without boiler off of Ebay , and decided to do something different with it. I don't really care much for oscillating engines, but Jensen 70s are an exception . I like them a lot, but their major fault is the mess they make. This can be partially remedied by adding an exhaust system . I laid this Jensen 70 on it's side and added some exhaust plumbing  making a powerful, compact horizontal machine. You can see it here next to my vertical engine . It is similar to the Jensen 60 I suppose .

I just placed a bid for a #5 engine only on Ebay a couple of days ago . Since I didn't win, I guess I just built myself one instead !

Seems to make a nice stand-alone engine in either configuration!

I like your exhaust "system", as a means to reduce the mess typically made by the stock #70. I've often used far less elegant solutions, that clearly didn't do as good a job as your dedicated modifications are certainly capable of producing!!!
