I can't remember the exact numbers off-hand, but in addition to my house, I had something like $100k coverage for contents... for less than $100 more per year, I now have up to $300k coverage for contents. As for value, I have every ebay receipt with a picture of the engine on the back in 4 binders, separated by country and they are stored in a different location than my house. My insurance agent is young and doesn't seem very experienced, so I definitely need to talk to another before it's too late... hope that never happens... I have learned recently that it is a huge headache dealing with the insurance company over a loss. Mine was a small loss, hail damage to my roof and it took over 10 months and literally hundreds of phone calls for $20k worth of damage... I don't know how I could live through dealing with them over a total loss...

Another good idea is to go through your entire house with a video camera once a year or so. Upload it to the internet (hidden) or save it to a disk/card that's stored elsewhere and maybe it will help with settling a claim...
