Lovely, the Marklin version of the Jensen #55G ..... or perhaps that should be visa-versa.

In any case, what a fine machine that is, truly a standout in any collection!

Interesting that they chose to put the generator back behind the cylinders, instead of out in front of the flywheel.

Thanks for sharing that beauty with us all!!!

Arnold:

Great addition to your formidable Marklin collection.

Did you buy this at an auction, eBay or private?

Charlie - I got this rare Märklin from a Company who is
manufacturing Steam Loco's of model size - 1:3 or 1:4
for 7 1/4"  and 14 1/2" tracks. Sometimes they buy from
customers old engines and this one was also such an entry.
I was there just at the right moment ;D
Here I have a picture of what they make:
Price of a new one up to 80k US$ (they also have a website)

They make top of the line steam engines/locos.

Have a nice day,
Arnold :D

They have some antique engines in the shop
for ex.the "Lady Stephanie" a James Watt engine six column
(way too expensive but very nice)

What a beauty.  Excellent shape it’s in!
