"Found" 1mm poly cord , good for engines
Hi fellow steamer.
In my search for a diminutive drive band for my new Wiggers to drive my KG trip hammer I tried (& bought) many types of strings & such , then I came across this 0.85 nitryl/polycord that works just like the bigger stuff...simply heat the ends & butt together , this takes extra care to do as this is like working with sewing thread, but its very strong. the bends in the cord can be heated with a hair dryer under high heat for 30 seconds or so while you have the cord mounted on something that will put a little tension on it & relax those bends right out.(at least that's what I did) I found this at Wal-Mart in the crafts section,  cost 98¢.
