The sliding valve fits. I had to bend the valve spring to get a closer fit on the valve face. These engines are temperamental. Experiment with flame heights and position and lubrication. I find that my engine does not work
with graphite as a lubricant for the cylinder I use three in one oil. I don't have the original burner for mine but I
made one that works.
