Testing the OKMO P51 Clutch on a MSM Pevensey Steam Engine running three water accessories.
Incredibly handy being able to disengage and reengage accessories that are belted up to the engine via a transmission like this.

A very convincing demonstration you have provided us with here Jim!

I wonder if putting the Microcosm/Okmo gear reduction unit (P90) in line backwards for up-gearing with that Okmo pump (P71) might give you a bit more action there?

I think using the P90 gear reduction is a great idea by using it reversed to increase the rpm!!! It now becomes an overdrive!!!

One potential problem with using the reduction gearing in reverse "overdrive" if you will, is that it will definitely significantly increase the load on the engine when doing so!

It's something that I have always dreamt off - having the ability to turn on and off an accessory whilst the engine is running.
The pinnacle would be to have the clutch as a standalone unit between the engine and the accessories.
