The little "Florian" Roller
« on: December 08, 2022, 03:56:15 pm »
Got a little Florian made by the Swiss Company Holzapfel.
It is second hand - but never fired. The Boiler has a
capacity for 4 ml - a little bigger as the LS models.
It is very sturdy made and has also a functional steering wheel.
It is the predecessor of the little Willy...

It looks very robust Arnold, I'll bet it has some weight to it.

Looks to be a truly wonderful little machine of sound design and solid build!

The (adorable) roller had two little brothers : Kurt the showman and then Max the traction engine.
I purchased the Max two years ago but I do not see it offered any more on the website.

These are created by Michael Holzapfel, the current owner of the company while the Willy had been created by his father.
See also a picture of Max and Little Willy together.

Sounds like a little buzz-saw, but in spite of that it runs at a very reasonable speed .... how nice!!!

It runs very well; I like the precision steering mechanism. It is even smaller than I thought, very nice scale speed & for a micro size (as shown in comparison to the cell phone) she runs exceptionally well.
