Doug's slinky tester running off a smaller engine

Those slinky testers have to be one of the greatest steam toys!

This is a friction brake that I came up with. Turning the knob left or right increases or decreases the friction on the shaft, very simple and its very effective to put a load on an engine and of course fun to use :)

Dougs Slinkey-tester was the one single inspiration-source behind my slinkey-accessorie.
I asked Doug for permition to persuit my own Version; which resulted in my slinkey-accessorie. It was my mastermind mechanical inclined friend Ioan who planned and built it.

Cheers :-)

Wow, that's like the Rolls Royce of slinky testers, that is a mechanical work of art  :)
