The last picture is a later model and they changed the connection to the boiler.

The earlier models (pre-1930s) had a wooden box.  The later models had cardboard boxes.

The tricky thing with these engines is the reversing gear is often missing.

I have accumulated a number of these as parts engines. I have two complete ones I have made from them.

It is the only Weeden with a reversing lever.
