Can anyone remember who used to make and sell the Wejco Workshops?

Bill from Minnesota (Airspyder). I sent him a message a few weeks ago, but I know he's been busy with work and house... he only made 5 of the workshops

Thanks Nick, they look good don't they!

I forgot you scored one and I forgot all about Airspyder. I would have bet money that it was someone in Europe who had produced them.

Do you remember the guy that was going to make miniature but very (very) detailed printing presses? Did he ever get there with those?

I remember communicating with Bill about the bandsaw he was making to go along with the workshop - although I was to get one he never got back to me again so don't know if he made a batch or if life got in the way. Hope he returns to the forum and continues making machines - they were especially nice and well made.

Larry

As far as i understand from the Mamod forum thread, he just made the 3 "prototypes".
Then subsequently sold them off to fund the construction of 8-10 more, which to my knowledge never came to happen.

I was lucky to get one of his production of the Workshop.  Love it.

I managed to get a WEJCO Workshop also ... first class quality and eye-catching design!

WEJCO = Wm. E. Jones if I remember Airspyder's real name correctly.

Don't recall who was going to do the printing press, but from what I've seen of the real deal, you could run that as fast as you could, like many of our steam engines are prone to do, and it would still look correct. The real ones I've seen run so fast that it is all just a blur!

I believe Matt Mumby (smithandcomodels on the Mamod Forum) created the printing press.  Matt had a website for a short time.  I clicked on it today and it is gone.  He last posted on the Mamod Forum on December 5, 2018.

Here is a link to a video on his YouTube Channel.  He has a couple other videos of it too on the channel.
