A fine runner that one, and definitely pleasurable to watch, for certain and for sure!!!

Hello Jim, this is what I know about the engine:

Wilesco D201

On March 6, 1904, fourteen German specialist toy retailers founded the “Vereinigung Deutscher Spielwarenfachhändler“ (Association of German Specialist Toy Retailers) at "Müller's Hotel" in Leipzig—a sensation at the Leipzig Spring Fair!

Wilesco marked the 90th anniversary of Vedes by producing a special model distributed exclusively through Vedes. For this purpose, a standard D20 model in a black-and-white color scheme was added to the product range in 1994. It was packaged in a standard D20 box featuring a special label.

Another distinctive feature is that the white section of the machine is not a simple, pure white; instead, it is finished in a combination of off-white and a subtle smoke-like effect, giving the model a truly unique appearance. The D201 is available with either a black-painted or a black-burnished boiler.

 In the Vedes catalog, the D20 Vedes model was listed under the number D201. It appears that Wilesco adopted this same designation. Consequently, the D201 stands as another example of a model manufactured for promotional purposes that was assigned its own specific model designation.
