I received the boiler today. It's just as advertised: perfect!

a handsome launch , looks really good.
-
That's a very nice looking Wilesco boiler.
-
I even made a "chuff pot" to condense and collect steam oil residue from the engine exhaust. It is a close match, too, I think....

The boiler lagging is a good match for that launch 8)

All right. Here's what it is:
It"s a boiler for a Krick steam launch, provided to Krick by Wilesco, though tarted up with lagging to look beautiful and be more efficient, as CBWho pointed out.
I bought it as a spare for my Krick Victoria; it's a bolt-in replacement.
Thanks for your guesses!

So wilesco boiler and for a marine engine of some sort
Again, sort of Wilesco, and now marine "of some sort".
Can anyone pin it down precisely? I'll give it a day or two to percolate.

Wilesco, yes, sort of. Good.
Fire truck, not quite.
Want to guess again? Hint: look at the board name.
-
That's a Wilesco firetruck boiler done up to fix the weakness of the boiler not holding heat well.
I think it looks wonderful.

Everybody likes a mystery, right?
I just bought this NOS beauty, and it'll be along in the mail shortly.
Anybody want to guess what it fits?
