A very creative but unnecessary device.

Looks to me like it needs a heavier base.

This one looks like a perfect project for our very own McGyver aka St Paul Steam.   ::)
although I like it very much, it is as you said, a completely unnecessary device...my arm/hands still work ok 😊

Not quite sure about that Bruce. If the can has been stored upright, then the pigment solids have settle on the bottom of the can and may perhaps better be stirred with the ball moving back and forth across the bottom .... or not?!?!

I suspect the actual "violence" of the action may have much to do with it.

I like it a lot, a very robust design and a handsome machine, although I think rattling the ball from the bottom to the top is better than side to side on the bottom. but he certainly did a good job on the build,  looks professional
