lovely, I have never seen one run before. Seems to run better than its "improved" later Parsell & Weed.

That's a lovely engine, a bit different than most, good work on helping to get er' to run Gil.

It was a real treat to see and get running this 1890's A J Weed Gas Engine.
This is only the second example I have ever seen. Arthur J Weed produced these
in the early to mid 1890's before he was associated with Parsell and Weed.
He also published a book that covered most all you need to know to build gas engines including formulas for proper design.
Given that just about everyone wanting to build gas engines back then wanted a copy of this book... It has been said the book was likely a much better seller than this very rare 1/2 hp gas engine.
