What a wonderfully scenic layout that one is. Would love to spend a day or three there my own self!

Hi Dave,

Do you know if the engine has a muffler? Is it started with a pull-string of some sort?

I hope it doesn't, as judging by the noise level if it has it isn't working too well!  Yes it is a pull start.

Take care.

Tony.

Hi Dave,

Is a model airplane engine running the yellow diesel at the beginning?

Yes, it drives a generator that supplies power to the electric motors on the bogies.  The model is very slow but extremely powerful and noisy and smelly!

Take care.

Tony.

That's cool. Do you know if the engine has a muffler? Is it started with a pull-string of some sort?

Thanks Tony,

Dave
