Looking forward to this build Larry.
-
I'll be here this winter waiting and ready to watch the build
Ditto !!!
Some impressive hardware there Larry, will be very interesting to see it all come together.

An excellent winter project Larry.
This is going to be a real beauty when completed.
Good luck with the build!

I have all 3 of these engines and would not let them go for the prices you are asking. It might be worth your time and effort to get them running properly- I'm sure they would sell for more.

The Stuart 7A and 8 run just fine now on low air pressure, there's nothing wrong with them. The James Coombes is probably okay just tight. I don't sell my engines to make a profit, don't need it and this is just a hobby.

All three Stuarts are sitting at the back of the table.......still. I'm a little surprised that they haven't sold on the forum or Ebay yet. When I was buying Stuarts I would have jumped right on them but folks may be waiting until the bitter end Sunday evening......hopefully. Then again my pricing may be off but it's hard to find comps for the same engines. And I'll probably give some updates on the project but a build thread is out of my league as I would probably embarrass myself with my lack of knowledge and expertise.
-
Certainly I will look forward to the results of this project, but might I ask for a build thread along the way, so we can see the project progress and get semi-regular updates?
-
Larry, sure hope you find the time this winter, that engine looks to be a really nice one...good luck with it.

As the result of an excess of ill gotten gains from some recent sales from downsizing my collection I was able to buy a steam plant from Chiltern Model Steam. It's a Tandem Mill Engine with a 3 1/2" Pendle boiler, expansion tank, and boiler feed water tank with hand pump. I hope to hook up one of my generators to it with a lamppost so as to make a nice steam plant that's smooth running and looks good also. I'm getting the cart a little ahead of the horse as it's number 15 of 20 on my project list but I know if I don't strike while the iron is hot I'll rethink spending the money and back off in the future. Anyhow, here it is laid out as delivered - just thought I'd share with you my plans for this winter (hopefully).
