Hi,

So cool. Is the track signalling system automated?

Yes, designed by a member who's day job is making signalling systems for full size railways.  The 1000 foot track has about six sections controlled by coloured lights; the ground level track uses semaphore signals so there is no confusion.  In the attached video you might be able to pick out the sensors between the tracks; there are far more than six as there is a repeater in the signal box that shows were the trains are. On public running days the number of trains is on the raised track is restricted to three; these trains usually consist of three vacuumed braked cars and a guard who also has control of the brakes

Hi,

One of my 5" gauge locomotives was due for its annual pressure gauge and safety valve check last weekend and it was the first opportunity to try out my new 4 wheel riding car.

My bogie riding car was getting too heavy to transport and as the club was getting ride of its old bogie riding car's bogies I bought a pair and converted them to 4 wheel cars they each weigh less than half of the old riding car.

Regards Tony.
