Firefite - Dave - has the wood patterns that I got from Tony Bohaboy's granddaughter along with some original drawings.

I still have the larger brass boilers that Bohaboy must have used for the larger V-4 high speed single acting engines.

Here are some of the patterns..

Thanks to all who posted in the thread. When I was researching Bohaboy engines, I discovered that Dave (Firefite) has castings, casting molds, and some of these Bohaboy engines. Anyone heard from him recently; I hope he is OK, he was last active in April on the other forum?
The two cylinders marine engine is very similar to Boucher that makes me believe some of the collectors saying A. Bohaboy made some of Boucher models. The Bohaboy model has BW 100 engraved on the oil bassin casting.

That may not be a brother to mine Nick, but it sure looks to be at least a first or second cousin, and if it is not a Bohaboy product, it most certainly is a very close copy. I'd guess someone bought the plans and parts kit, and your engine is what they made of it!

Great thread with some nice engines!

By the way, I've had this unknown for quite some time and have asked every once in awhile with little or no replies... looks a lot like Daniel's above...

I have one A. Bohaboy engine in my stable. It looks just like the first one on Gil's catalog page, except that it is half again taller than the dimension given there.

This engine runs smooth and easy on light air pressure, but I've never had it on steam. I suspect the results would be the same however. It was once painted a medium dark green and there are still vestiges of that paint here and there in the nooks and crannies. It certainly looks to have been ridden hard and put away wet many, many times and it sure isn't very "pretty", but for all that it does seem to be in good operational condition.

The article from the 1954 Popular Science Magazine was a good read.

an example I had a few years ago, now resides with CrazyDoug.
it was very well built & one of the best runners I had.

I still have your engine Bruce, along with a few other Bohaboy engines. They are extremely well built and run smoothly.

I do like that Powerhouse engine and your shiny 1 x 1 does strike a similarity with the Stuart No 1 engine Gil.

It sure does! Many have been mistaken for a small early Stuart 10V or 7A.

I'll add this picture of Anton Bohaboy running one of his steam boats in Central Park, NYC.
He would run his steam powered tether boats regularly at this pond and lots of locals took their lunch to the edge of this pond to watch Tony and his steam boats.

I bumped into these rarities recently in my storage space, hooked up to air, and they all ran like a dream. Article is from 1954 Popular Science Magazine. Show Your Bohaboy  ;)
