I personally find the "end-of-post expandable thumbnail" is a more pleasant browsing experience.

Thanks Pete...[attachimg=1]

They look ok if you click on them though.. :)

Check Nicks answer and click on 'inline full-size image'
-
I'll try again...[attach=1]

Hmmm. It doesn't look very big.. >:(

Just trying to send a picture....

Cheers Nick I'll try that.

Yep it works thanks.
That TE looks well done now Pete :)

Thanks Pete for asking the question, as I was also wondering the same.
Thanks Nick for answering the question, especially the picture size.
I do have to admit though, I really like the large pictures you posted that show up small in the forum post, but can be clicked and really zoomed in on.

Pete, i absolutely love that picture...
You really understand how to pre-heat a Mamod TE

Roughly 800x600 is good for any forum
Your images in the dog thread came through as the "end-of-post expandable thumbnails", if you click on them when viewing the post they will get larger.
When attaching an image from this:
[attachimg=1]
you have the option to choose how you want it to appear on the forum ;)
[attachimg=2]
"inline full size image" will probably give the result you were looking for

Whats the best size for posting pictures ? I've posted some on Jims 'Our dogs' thread but they come up smaller than on other forum.
