Sounds like a really good deal for someone. I think most all of these small steam locomotives have issues of one kind or another, and part of the fun is learning how to operate with them and around them. I'd be sorely tempted, especially at that price, were it not that I already have a stable full (4) of these rather temperamental, but still fun, little locos.

Before I even think of expanding the fleet, I need to get some turnouts built so I can lay my track.

Issues documented here:
https://www.officeofsteamforum.com/live-steam-locomotives/dora-fuel-issues/

This is a project loco and sold as is. Sometimes it runs well. Sometimes it's just o.k.

Includes Train Department gas valve and Summerlands chauffeur installed. Body screws on the back (near coal bunker) have been left off (and, of course, lost) to facilitate body removal and gas jet cleaning. Body stays in place well with front screws only. Loco has its share of scratches. Smoke box door latch is sketchy and gets super hot, so the finish has faded. The engine mechanism itself is in nice shape, although the reversing lever disc will back out over time, so you'll need to check it once in a while.

I will run it later today and report back with a current set of photos.

$125 shipped within the con U.S. (only). As is with no guarantees. Get it running well consistently, make a project out of it or use it for spares for your other Dora - Accucraft will re-release Dora ($500!) for this fall, according to the web site.

This one will be double-boxed and packed with care. I'll send a PayPal invoice.

Stay tuned for pics.
