Title: Re: Mamod piston oiling for startup
Post by: Nick on August 25, 2019, 08:57:57 am
I remove the piston, but make sure I don't rotate it 180°... installing it the same way it was removed. If I run it again the same day or within the next week, I just squirt some oil in the end of the cylinder.

I've never removed any of my mamod pistons to oil as they are a pain to do and i just squirt some oil in from the bottom which works fine, however my Wilesco D6 is easy to take the piston off which i do to oil.

Do you remove the piston or not?

I don't like to since it's not easy. Feels like it's hard on the trunnion, springs, etc.
