I have only one Bohm and I like it, but it needs cleaning fairly often to run well.

The Bohm engines are elaborate but need to be regularly cleaned to maintain performance, mine was pre-owned and a poor runner initially but responded well to a little TLC - I added a rudimentary burner control too, here powering the ubiquitous Mamod workshop:

Sorry to rain on Bohm but those engines give Stirling engines a bad name. They are rather poorly designed. (I sold my Bohm.)
My good hot air engines will run and run and not over heat. Also they easily run accessories (Wilesco or Mamod ones.)
The glass cylinder alpha engines being sold from China are generally very good but my best ones still being produced are my PM Research engines.
Check out this one, it is only supposed to be a fan, but it has enough torque to run a Mamod workshop and then some!

Looks pretty good, how does it run? I have a Bohm HB14 which is a later twin cylinder machine

This is an older model, I think, for if you look it up on eBay you'll find something quite different.
