Nice close-up of the eagle Gil, in the past 3 or 4 years their population has increased a lot in this area. My mom and dad both grew up around here (born in '63) and they didn't see their first eagle in the wild until the very late '70's.

Showing live steam engines  (especially this size) would take alot of effort I'm sure, but looking back its nearly always worth it, I'm sure your efforts were greatly appreciated 😊

It was fun. I got to educate a lot of people too.
Lots of questions were asked and answered.

I was quite busy keeping after it all. I ran it a total of 19 hours over the 3 days and vaporized 115 gallons of water.
I maintained the boiler at mostly 60-85 psi. I learned how to operate the injector which was working great on Saturday and not so co-operative on Sunday which gave my arms plenty of work on the hand pump. I was constantly adding water to the make up water bucket. I fired it with propane and a 210,000 BTU gas burner which worked quite nicely and was capable of more than the 2 engines required together at a slow tick over.

I didn't walk around greeting people and filming the show nearly as much as I used to due to the attention required by this rig. I don't think I got to sit down for more than 20 minutes total over the 3 days.

Each day except the last ended with a 2/3 blow down, clean up and preparation for the next day, with me nearing exhaustion and with my feet sore. It was all quite satisfying!
