Lumber Prices are way up this year Nick.

Might be time to open a Northern Sawmill.  :)

I bought a sawmill attachment for my chainsaw this winter. I've got two big walnuts and 4 or 5 oaks at my grandpa's that I want to try cutting down and milling. Thinking of making some real thick boards to save for future baseplates...  8)

Thank you for all of the nice feedback!

This was a fun project.

Nick:

Lumber prices are very low right now. So, no Northern expansion in the near future.

Charlie, we'll be up here waiting for you  ;)

Thanks Lenn.

Do you have a Sawmill in your World of Wonders? 🤠

I think I recall you doing some treasure hunting at an old Sawmill Sight.

Cool video Charlie,  nice little operation you got going there. When I need lumber for my mini workshop I’ll place an order.

Nice setup and beautiful engine.
Instead of 60 mmbf of lumber, perhaps it 6 mmbi i.e. board inches. :)

This is a two line Sawmill consisting of a Saw Timber (Large Log) Line and a Chip & Saw (Small Log) Line. The mill will produce 60 mmbf of dimensional lumber on a 40 hour shift.

Great video Charlie  8) I know this was about the sawmills, but I LOVE that engine!! I have never powered mine with an engine, in fact I just got the log return working right recently, but I may have to now after seeing your video  ;)  It's still sitting on the photo bench with the baby doll  ;)  just waiting for a run...

That's a great display setup - having two saws in action really makes it work well.
