here is my video demonstration of the "OZ" steam Demon's chuff enhancer that he used as a selling tool while he was with us.

Sounds chug-chug right!
Killer looks.
Is that special whistle-shaped
'enhancer' in there? I need to
cobble one of those up out of
thin air and my junk collection,
and it doesn't need to be a looker.
Looks are for subsequent builds.
And remember, a good diagram
is the gold standard.
Thanks,
Wayne

I'll let this video do the talking ;)

I have never played with any designs as I was very happy with my Demon purchase. I can supply pictures of my chuff enhancers...

Like a whistle....HMMMM
Do you have a video w/sound?
Seeing (and hearing) is believing.
I thought the exhaust might 'spit'
against a diaphragm of some sort
with maybe a cone to further
increase the 'soothing' tones.
So, I'll come right out and ask...are
there any diagrams of good chuffers,
or is each a trade secret?
Thanks for the reply,
Wayne

Mine came with 3 of these "chuff enhancers", one can be seen in the center of this photo (shaped like a whistle), with the tool to put it in place screwed on top

Hi Wayne, yes, the Demon Chuff Pots were supplied with "chuff enhancers" and a tool to change them. Wish I could have been a better customer of the Demon...
-
It is my understanding that there are chuff pots
that actually enhance the sound of the exhaust,
besides collecting the condensate and venting
any left-over steam up a chimney. Could anyone
tell me if there is anything inside a chuff-pot as
I've described? I'd like to make one and I can
have a notion how to do it, but why reinvent
the wheel.

Even an empty soup can with a hole in the side for tubing to fit into will make a suitable condenser or “catch pan” for oily waste

Do like Charlie did:

I'm looking for a chuff pot or similar item for a Jensen engine exhaust. Looking where to buy one, one being sold or can make one for me, Just need something to catch the hot sputtering water that will compliment the engine. Also any ideas,
Thanks, Rich
