it looks real good , that base had to be a pain to paint, came out wonderful in the end though. I've found the secret to using's the wife's stuff is to replace it before she ever misses it (but they always seem to know don't they)

Outstanding restoration!


I use an old computer charger for the igniter and low tension coil for my Springfield model engine (or any igniter fired engine).

Great job on the restoration. All of the cast based empires are quality engines. This will make a fine addition to your collection.

Took a few days off from hunting to work on this engine it was disaster  but got it going . Paint come out pretty good but the casting is rough as a cob. Hope my wife don't kill me when she finds out I cut her computer charger up it was the only thing that had the wright voltage to work you can see it in the pictures in the false boiler . Wish me luck that I don't get killed
