That is a beautiful engine! I hope to add one to my collection (small accumulation) someday.
-
A superb engine of great quality...... and it runs great!
-
Looks even better in motion 8) Thanks for the video ;D
-
that really does run sweetly Philip, the video got better as it went along.
-
Thanks for the comments everyone as you can probably tell i'm very happy with this engine!
Thanks for showing this, Philip. Clearly, the castings are of amazing quality.
I believe MSM use lost wax castings for a lot of the parts Gil, they are great quality especially for the money.
Philip, that baby runs like a clock...and I am a fan of clocks!!! Really smooth!
Rog, it does purr along very nicely and has got some power.

Here is a video of the Echuca running on live steam:

It runs very well indeed. ;D

Nice looking engine Philip. Second pulley makes it look complete. I agree the reversing gear is much more attractive than the bent rod style.
-
Bonjour,
I note that the exhaust pipe seems to have the diameter of the input one, it could have one more millimeter to further a little the yield of the machine.

Very well done...!!!

You're hooked now! ;) Nice one Philip 8)

Looks great with the reversing setup Philip.
-
very nice engine Philip 😉👍

Bonjour,
Nice machine indeed but I confess that I have a preference for the original Stuart steam machines, even if they can rust so therefore asks more maintenance ;)

That looks like a great engine - MSM make some really nice engines at a reasonable price.
-
After selling a few more engines recently i had enough funds to buy my third engine from MSM which will keep my Pevensey company.
I think the reversing gear is very attractive on both engines as i've never been a big fan of the bent rod styles seen on other engines.
I hope to post some more photos and do a video once i have mounted it on a more permanent base.
