Thank you Gil,
Again special thanks to Rich for allowing me to acquire this engine from him.
I will check on the smoke stack and report back. Thank you.

Congrats, Jack....!!!!
You will always appreciate having this engine in your collection. It is a great example.
Could you double check the chimney length? The aluminum replacements are 4" long and the brass originals are 4 9/16" long.
If it isn't right, I know you know where to get one the right length in brass!

I ended up purchasing this one from the winning bidder.
Thank you sir.

That is the early to mid 1930's style and a very desirable piece. Note also, no mounting tabs on the cast base, also early to mid 30's. Color is great and does not appear to have faded much at all.

What vintage is this style ? Interesting how they made the engine and generator base all in one, and the color if that greenish is a good representation of the original color ? I don't recall seeing that color before and it looks original.

I was trying to get it. The prices were going very high some of the others. I bid $1100 and the next bid took it at 1200. Then you add $300 bidder fee and it's $1500. Then I would have had shipping etc.
So they got it for $1600.
I think it's still a good price and also had the original smoke stack and paperwork.
I ended up with the vertical #30, junior and the lot of books.
Whoever bought it If your not happy with it I'll give you what you paid.
